Selon les médias turcs, les russes et les turcs se seraient entendus sur un cessez-le-feu généralisé en Syrie, qui devrait être annoncé dans les prochaines heures. Les médias occidentaux relaient assez peu, par contre, que cet ancien protectorat franco-britannique qu’est la Syrie a été « délivré » par une alliance entre un état théocratique (l’Iran), un régime pour le moins autoritaire (la Russie), et enfin, un régime en voie de devenir une dictature qui est aussi un membre de l’Otan, alors que les deux premiers y sont hostiles !?!? Pour la première fois depuis très longtemps, une alliance qui lui est plus ou moins hostile a réussi à redéfinir une zone d’influence dans le pré-carré de l’Occident sans que les Etats-Unis, la France ou l’Angleterre en lèvent le petit doigt, …ni même ne s’en émeuvent beaucoup. Pourtant, et sans aller plus loin, la fin de l’embargo sur l’Iran était sensé diversifier les sources d’approvisionnement énergétiques de l’Europe, notamment par rapport au gaz russe. C’est bien raté.
